Jobs are becoming harder to secure each day that comes. It is not because people lack the skills required. The number of people looking for these jobs are way higher than the actual jobs available or even the firms and companies hiring. Over 1,000 students graduate from different universities and turn into job seekers. For instance, the streets of Kampala are flocking with graduates from different universities. These are competing for particular jobs.
Job seeking involves looking for employment due to unemployment, underemployment or unfavorable conditions at the current job. Every person wishes to get employment after their education. These therefore start looking for jobs all over the place.
However, many face factors that determine whether they will get employment or not. These include; skills, particular years of experience, education level, as well as references. Most of these therefore are not on the shortlists due to the factors.
In the long run, people seeking for employment turn into job creators. They not only aim at getting themselves something to do but also create jobs for others.
Job creation involves creating employment opportunities for people that are jobless. Many people are engaged in this due to the circumstances of unemployment. This may be due to limited skills and experiences.
Some of these jobs require less skills and experience. This is because they require physical well being. Most job creators n Uganda are majorly in the technical field like farming, carpentry, and many others.
With time, technology will take over whereby a company that needed manpower uses technology to do their work. For example, it is believed that robots will replace the human labor thus leaving a number of people unemployed.
Therefore, a person who uses their skills to create employment for him/herself and a few others will be better. Becoming an employer is now more trending than becoming an employee.
